The photographs on this page are part of a body of documentary work I did over the course of a few days during the Carnaval of 1988 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. They were shot using a strobe and a Pentax 6x7 and medium format 5.5x7 cm. (2 1/4 x 2 3/4 inch), color negative film.
